The suspect who is identified as Mallam Isiaka is a 34 year
old trader who was arrested and detained by the Nigerian police command, Lagos (Uju
division) following the alleged raping of a nine year old boy. The victim whose
name was withheld, was reported by Punch Metro , as a primary school pupil who
lives with his parents in Coker Alhaja Street , old Okute road, Uju.
The boy,
Christopher , as was represented was constantly sent on errands, by parents, to
the Mallam’s shop for household items; and what seems like a financial hustle
turned to be a hidden catastrophe waiting to occur. The little boy became a
sexual specimen for the undisciplined trader.
According to our source, his parents became suspicious when
the little boy was sent on another errand, on Monday and returned with his
pants damped with blood, after staying longer than he was supposed to, for just
a single item. Mallam Isiaka, as he is known had become the favourite dealer
for the neighborhood; owing to the fact that he had almost all that the needed.
The source said:
“Isiaka sells items across the road in hgis shop. The boy’s
parents used to send him on errands to the shop and he always goes for normal household
itmes like suger, salt, and the rest. We all call him Mallam and he was very popular.
It was on Monday that the boy got the courage to let the cat
out of the basket. He said that Mallam
had been raping him inside his shop anytime he wants to buy something.
The boy was previously afraid of speaking out because mallam
had already threatened to kill him if he tells anyone. Though this evil has
been known by almost everybody in the neighborhood, his parents still maintained
that his name will not be publicized.
His mother also told newsmen that her son’s ordeal was real one
and in the statement he said that his son had been raped for eight times.
“We have taken some medical measures to care for our child. We
still need constant checkup and treatments by our doctor. If you see my child’s
anus, it is wider than my own. Ordinarily, we had an agile son but all of
sudden he grew weaker and weaker. He was
always tired, to even carry out his normal daily activities.
If not for the spirit of God, I wouldn’t have known or
suspected that my boy was being raped, since she is not a girl would never
think anybody would be raping a boy of that age…what a wicked world?
Meanwhile, the police relations officer, SP Dolapo Badmus
has confirmed the case and Mallam’s arrest. She also made it known to the
public that the case is presently opened at Isoko Police division of the area.
In a more solid note, he maintained that justice must be maintained.
Public Notice: Many are vulnerable to this kind of offence. Gone
are the days when gender and size determines the nature of attack. Ladies now
rape men for seamen, Men now rape fellow men for pleasure. Keep goo track of
your children’s activities and always note that the devil is at work. Please
